BARk News

Safe Camp along with Chief Mike Michael Muldrow and his school police did a car wash fundraiser for BARk...What a super group of kids and police to spend the day with..They raised a $1,000.00 for BARk and also collected animal supplies for our pet food pantry..I was blown away when Mike presented the cash that was raised...wasn't expecting that...everyone worked so hard today washing cars and helping BARk help the animals we in need that we help everyday..we can't do our mission without wonderful people and support like we experienced today..thank you doesn't seem to be enough...thank you for the experience with all of you today and the great hugs from all...

BARk received these items from a young boy who asked for pet food and pet supplies for his birthday.  Thank you so much from everyone at BARk and all the furbabies!!!

BARk Head Quarters!!!

We now have a building.  We are renting the old West York Boro Hall on 1700 W Philadelphia St.  We will officially be open on May 6th.  Hours of operation will be Weds from 6-8pm and Saturdays from 1-3 pm.  Also by appointment. 

Leader Heights Animal Hospital

BARk has teamed up with Leader Heights Animal Hospital to help animals in need.  Look for more to come.  

BARk had the honor of  two very special guest at our May meeting, Kristen Tullo Pa State Director of The Humane Society and Sully Pinos Chief of Staff for State Representative Kevin Schreiber. 

There are currently several House Bills (HB) and Senate Bills (SB) that we encourage everyone to contact your State Representative to ask them to support. 

HB 113 - Animal Cruelty Penalties "Angel's Law"  - Increased penalties for violations of the animal cruelty laws in PA. 

SB 373 - Anti-Tethering Legislation  

SB 715 -  To end live Pigeon shoots

BARk's Community Aide Bins
BARK also has 2 community aides bins for donations. They are located in the back of the building.  These bins are also a way to help BARk, so when you need somewhere to get rid of old clothes or shoes think of us.

Pet Supply Donations

BARk accepts donations all year around for Dog/cat food, leashes, bowls, dog/cat beds, toys, snacks, collars, etc.

If you would like to donate, or if you know anyone who may need help this year please contact me with their name, address, and phone number. All donations may be dropped off at the BARk office there is a brown bin with a lid by the front door to leave donation if the office is closed.  BARk helps animals in need all year long, we DO NOT give to same individuals monthly.  For those individuals we will provide quarterly.
